In 2011 during Nor-Shipping, Jotun revolutionized the shipping industry with Hull Performance Solutions (HPS), shifting focus to performance. As a leading partner, Jotun is participating at Nor-Shipping 2025, as they have done every year since the exhibition’s beginning 60 years ago.

"We are thrilled to be part of Nor-Shipping 2025. This event provides an excellent platform for us to connect with industry leaders and share our latest advancements in marine coatings and hull performance," said Jessica Doyle, Global Sales Director for Shipping at Jotun. "14 years ago, we defined what the industry today knows to be the hull performance category, when we launched HPS. This year, we are excited to present what we believe will be pivotal in the years to come when the industry seeks to optimise hull performance."

A pioneer in hull performance, Jotun continues to challenge the industry with the Clean shipping commitment, which was recently demonstrated through a DNV verification. It calculated and verified 11.1 million tonnes of CO2 emissions avoided for Jotun coated vessels for 2024 only, saving approximately 2 billion USD worth of fuel along the way for Jotun’s customers. This milestone underscores Jotun’s commitment to help the industry cut carbon emissions, preserve fuel and protect biodiversity.

During Nor-Shipping Jotun will also present a comprehensive industry report that investigates the consequences of biofouling on the shipping industry and explores current biofouling management practices.

"We look forward to meet customers, partners, stakeholders and the rest of the industry at Nor-Shipping. We invite all to come by the home of hull performance and meet our experts at our stand to see what we bring to the industry this year – as we truly believe this will be one of the highlights from this year’s event. On top of this we’re adding our unique industry report and as always our penguin spirit, and we will serve both innovations, insights and refreshments at our stand," said Morten Sten Johansen, Global Category Director, Hull Performance at Jotun.

Meet Jotun at Nor-Shipping, Hall D, stand D03-06, between June 3rd and 6th to get the latest innovations and news that will be presented for the first time at Nor-Shipping. If you are interested in hearing more about - or get hold of - the industry report that will be published in connection with this year's event, you can also visit the Jotun stand.

HullPIC 10 highlights advances in performance monitoring

A trend towards more use of data-driven, digital vessel performance systems is gathering pace in the shipping industry. This was one of the main takeaways from the 10th HullPIC conference last month. Collaboration between stakeholders, continuous innovation, and knowledge sharing were also emphasised as critical drivers for advancing performance management and sustainability efforts.
