Diversity in the workplace pays off
“Focusing on diversity and inclusion gives huge benefits – both on an individual and corporate level”, says Faten Lubani in Globale Sandefjord and Åsmund Bergem in Jotun.
We want every Jotun employee to be proud of who they are – throughout the year and all over the world.
As we dive into the summer of 2023, the paints and manufacturer Jotun counts 10,200 employees. They come from 90 different countries and are spread out on production facilities, R&D sites and office buildings throughout the world.
Of course, they are all unique.
Jotun is a melting pot of people. Every day they bring different colours, ages, competency profiles, political beliefs, family situations, moral compasses, sexual orientations and cultural upbringings to the table. This is why we say that Jotun is the very definition of diversity.
“We are a people-oriented company, built on Loyalty, Care, Respect and Boldness. Our success comes from the ability to adapt and evolve our company culture”, says President & CEO Morten Fon.
In June, we celebrate diversity & inclusion throughout Jotun. With local seminars, workshops and other gatherings, we want to raise awareness and create space for internal discussions. Not at least, we want to identify areas of improvement. We can always become better.
This is why the work with diversity and inclusion must be constantly ongoing, throughout the year and all over the world. Check out the movie we made one year ago, where nine Jotun employees share their reflections on what it takes.
“Focusing on diversity and inclusion gives huge benefits – both on an individual and corporate level”, says Faten Lubani in Globale Sandefjord and Åsmund Bergem in Jotun.
During their very own diversity campaign this month, the employees at Jotun Philippines are encouraged to bring their true self to work every day.
As an increasingly global company in an increasingly diversified world, Jotun is embracing differences amongst our more than 10,200 employees.
